Rules for The Home Chef Recipe Contest

The award-winning cookbook, Grilling and Smoking with The Home Chef, by Steve Collins is being expanded. Hummingbear Press, publisher of the cookbook is sponsoring a recipe contest for the best grilling, smoking or BBQ recipe.

THE PRIZE: The winning recipe will be included in the upcoming edition, which will be available in the fall. In addition, the winner will receive five signed copies of the expanded cookbook and bragging rights. Four runners-up will each receive a signed copy of the cookbook
All entries become the property of The Home Chef and will not be returned. All entrants give permission to The Home Chef to use their recipe in the cookbook or subsequent cookbooks.

THE RULES:
All entries must be original recipes and not previously published anywhere. The winner of the           contest will sign a notarized statement attesting to the originality of the recipe.
Contest open to residents of the United States age 18 years or older.
Only one entry per person is allowed.
Friends employees and family of The Home Chef, Hummingbear Press, Café Montoya, Homefront with Don Zeman and National BBQ News are not eligible to enter.
All entries must include entrant’s name, address phone number.

Entrees must be in the format used in Grilling and Smoking with The Home Chef. Sample recipes will be on our web-site www.thehomechef.net. Click on Cookbook Contest  
Each entry should have a short story at the top of the recipe telling a little about how the recipe came about. Maybe it is an old family recipe, passed down or maybe it is the result of a happy accident or maybe it is someone special’s favorite. It may simply tell why you are choosing to share this particular recipe with us.

THE WINNERS: The winning names will be announced on the Homefront with Don Zeman radio show on July 2, 2005. If there are too many last-minute entries to meet this date, the winner will be announced on Homefront on September 2, 2005.
